This wine is opaque ruby-purple with notes of crème de cassis, raspberry syrup and black cherry. There are flavors of bittersweet cocoa and toasty wood spice on the palate. The wine coats the entire mouth and has big, but well-integrated, tannins.

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Yountville (Wolff Vineyard)
This wine is deep ruby in color. The nose has hints of blackberry, rhubarb pie and toasty oak followed by earthy notes. There is a good mouthfeel with a long finish.

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford (Firehouse Vineyard)
This wine is a ruby color full of pomegranate, stewed chutney and raspberry flavors. The aroma is very refined and the elegant palate is composed of very approachable tannins and a soft finish.

2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain (Buckeye Vineyard)
This wine has a ruby purple color. The nose is full of mineral, earth, currant and black olive. Hints of black fruits linger on the nose. This powerful yet elegant wine is very balanced and is drinkable now, but will age gracefully.
